Why is nuclear power controversial

There are really 3 main ways to approach nuclear, and the right choice depends entirely on your situation. **Option 1 — the modern alternative** Works well when you're under time pressure. The trade-off: steeper initial setup. **Option 2 — the traditional approach** Better suited when you can afford some experimentation. Downside: fewer community resources. My honest take: for most people asking about nuclear, **the modern alternative** is the safer starting point. You can always migrate once you fully understand your actual requirements. Starting complex and simplifying later is much harder than the reverse.

Honest take, because I wish someone had told me this earlier. Everything you will read about nuclear will make it sound more complicated than it is. Here is what 9 years of working with power has actually taught me. Everyone who's good at this now was terrible at it for longer than they'd admit. What actually moved the needle for me: I stopped trying to understand everything before starting, and just committed to one focused hour a day for a month. After that, things started moving much faster. The one thing I would prioritise: find a concrete real-world use case for nuclear in your own life or work. The learning curve is real but it is not as steep as it looks from the outside.
