How to do keyword research for a blog

Dropshipping works by selling products online without holding any inventory. When a customer orders from your store, you purchase the item from a supplier who ships it directly to the customer. You keep the margin between what the customer paid and what the supplier charged. The appeal: no upfront inventory investment, no storage space, can be started with minimal capital. The reality: margins are thin (often 15-30%), customer service is difficult when the supplier ships late or sends wrong items, and competition is fierce on popular products. For it to work today, you need either unique product sourcing (working directly with manufacturers rather than generic AliExpress suppliers), or strong branding and marketing that creates a reason to buy from you over competitors. Generic stores selling the same products as everyone else rarely succeed. Shopify is the most common platform. Start by choosing a niche narrow enough to build expertise in but large enough to have customers. Validate demand with a small advertising spend before investing heavily in building the store.

Content marketing is building an audience by providing genuinely useful, free content — articles, videos, podcasts, social posts — that attracts potential customers and establishes your authority. It works because it creates trust before the sale. Someone who has read ten of your articles solving their problems already trusts your expertise before they ever enquire about your services. Conversion rates from warm content audiences are far higher than cold advertising. For results, consistency and quality beat frequency. Two excellent blog posts per month outperform eight mediocre ones. Research what questions your target customers are actually asking — use Google's "People also ask" section, Reddit, and Quora in your niche. SEO is the amplifier: if your content ranks on Google for relevant searches, you get free targeted traffic indefinitely after the initial writing effort. This compounds over time as you build authority in your niche. A five-year-old article can still drive consistent traffic if it genuinely answers a question well. Measure email subscribers and enquiries from content, not just pageviews.
